DESCRIPTION
This module is intended to provide a theoretical underpinning of group dynamics in sport. A central theme within the unit will be bridging the gap between theory and practice, and the evaluation of methodological rigor in past group dynamics research. Areas such as team cohesion, home advantage, leadership, the coach-athlete relationship, collective efficacy, group roles, and team building will be covered and practical work will be part of delivery.
