DESCRIPTION
The module will develop students? understanding of the quantitative methods employed in the field of accounting, along with various methods of gathering, presenting and interpreting numerical data.
The module will also expand students? knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of economic theory and the environment in which it exists. It will enable students to identify how macro-economic theory impacts on organisations and also introduce students to the principles of a market based economic system. Students will be introduced to spreadsheet modelling using Excel which will enable them to build up their ability to assemble, present and analyse relevant quantitative data to assist management in the planning and decision making process.
