DESCRIPTION

The main objective of this course is to provide students with an introduction to the discipline of art history, viewed through the specific and unique history of art in Spain. This course outlines the development of Spanish art and examines Muslim, Visigothic, Gothic, Renassiance, Baroque, Neoclasical and Surreal art forms. The rich and expansive material covered in this course make for an extensive view of Spanish art. Special attention will be given to the art found in Granada, such as the Alhambra and cathedral.
