DESCRIPTION

This course combines experiential learning with academic analysis, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with the realities of legal practice in the host country while critically examining contemporary legal challenges. Through structured visits to law firms, in-house legal counsel and court visits alongside pre-visit seminars, and post-visit workshops, students encounter diverse practice areas including data protection, commercial litigation, human rights, intellectual property, criminal law, and environmental compliance.

By linking practical experiences to legal theory, policy debates, and ethical frameworks, students gain a deeper understanding of how law in the host country functions in practice and adapts to emerging issues. The course culminates in an independent research project and viva presentation, ensuring students consolidate professional insights with academic depth.
