DESCRIPTION
This module is an introduction to some of the major themes and events in modern world history. It begins with an examination of the Enlightenment and the French Revolution. It moves on to look at the Industrial Revolution, movements for national unification, empire and the extension of voting rights. It examines the First World War and the ideologies of Fascism, Nazism and Soviet Communism.
