DESCRIPTION
Introduction to the travel and tourism industry and the impacts which can arise from the development of tourism. Specifically the unit begins by exploring the characteristics of tourists and tourism destinations. Key stakeholders and their roles in tourism system are then introduced. Finally the unit introduces students to the nature of inputs and outputs to the tourism system and the nature of external influences upon the system.
