DESCRIPTION
This unit will introduce students to the concept and the type of events in the tourism and hospitality context. It highlights the principles and practices associated with planning, managing, organising, implementing, and monitoring events. It also discusses the key issues of event tourism, sponsorship objectives, and project management for events. Education and training for event management and mega event management are emphasised in the module. The module attempts to explore the impacts of events, risk management, and issues and trends of event management.
