DESCRIPTION
This course examines the entrepreneurial processes shaping contemporary fashion ventures through the lens of a Paris-based sportswear start-up brand, focusing on brand creation, market positioning, and sustainable growth. Students explore the historical foundations of fashion entrepreneurship alongside current industry structures, business models, and consumer markets. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, field-based learning, and applied exercises, the course develops practical skills in brand identity development, market research, product development, and financial planning.
Emphasis is placed on integrating branding, marketing, sustainability, and operational decision-making into coherent go-to-market strategies within an international fashion context. Students analyze consumer behavior, assess growth and expansion opportunities, and evaluate the strategic fit of distribution channels and partnerships.
