DESCRIPTION

The XXI century professional has the ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with people who come from other countries and cultural backgrounds. In the course ?Intercultural Communication and Protocol? students interact and perform in different situations that emulate the realities of conflict resolution, teamwork and sales in a globalized world. The course covers the following topics: types of verbal and nonverbal communication, the relationship between cultural identity and intercultural contact, as well as differences and cultural patterns. In addition, it offers opportunities to learn about the importance of the different forms of communication, respect and tolerance of cultural diversity in working spaces.

This course is intended to enlarge student?s understanding of intercultural communication and cultural diversity by means of analyzing and discussing specific and highly relevant topics that will help them develop adequate skills to face different situations in diverse contexts to properly handle social and work relations while immersed in a globalized world. This is a 15 session-course, which demands constant and active participation from students in all the activities to be developed.
