This course encourages students to analyze the Latin American reality through a comprehensive understanding of the underlying historical roots of current phenomena. Students debate the relevance of identifying historical patterns that are present in the region's current reality, including political, economic, cultural, or social, which helps build a solid vision for a more prosperous and democratic region in the future. This course is a foundation for equipping professionals in International Relations, as it thrusts students into the complex structures that explain today's Latin America. It identifies those essential historical forces that determine the present. Analyzing and understanding them will allow us to shape the future.
