DESCRIPTION
Many business schools involve some awareness programs incentivizing student to involve in so-called humanitarian action. Though, these programs often deal with a mythical and rather old fashion approach of humanitarianism: collect some books for an African school, gather a bit of money thanks to little event on behalf of a humanitarian association. The professionalization of humanitarian actions in their processes of funding (responses to tenders of donors, innovative marketing appeal to public generosity, etc.) as well as in the implementation of their programs (with project framework, human resources management, key performance indicators and accountability?). Humanitarianism is a long-lasting tradition in Europe and especially France. From a business-development point of view, Humanitarian actions deserve to be regarded as a sector like any other even though it is also important and ethically convenient to consider the singularities of this area of activities.
