In today's world, e-commerce is dramatically altering the way business is conducted, and driving major shifts in the global economy. This course provides students with an in-depth introduction to the field of e-commerce, by focusing on key concepts that help them understand the evolving world of opportunity offered by e-commerce. The focus is on the two major driving forces behind e-commerce - business development and strategy, and social controversies and impacts - and how they relate to key topics in e-commerce, including digital marketing and advertising, current and future technologies, research literature, and the social and legal aspects of e-commerce.
