DESCRIPTION

This course explores the French civilization and mentality throughout its history taking into consideration geography and culture. The goal of this course is to give students an understanding of French culture, the development of cultural understanding in France, as well as French language and French stereotypes. Some of the topics include: media, folklore, everyday living, foods, immigration, social problems, gender issues, education, the political system, and the regional differences found within France.
