DESCRIPTION

The aim of the course is to present how the twentieth century history of Hungary is reflected in architecture, design, literature, film and visual arts. During the course we are going to look for traces of history in the urban spaces of Budapest, we will visit important locations and intriguing institutions. We will also discuss issues contemporary works of art raise, and their critical societal visions. The course aims to achieve its goals through the implementation of an intermedial and interdisciplinary view.

This course cannot be taken concurrently with Budapest - Explorations of the Urban Space.
