This subject focuses on two key areas. First, the spelling, the significance lays in the need of the learner for using appropriate the spelling conventions of the Spanish language by keeping in mind that these conventions are closely linked to the pragmatic and textual levels of language. Secondly, it focuses on the discursive genders and their textual manifestations as outlined in the Curricular Plan of the Instituto Cervantes. Every culture has genders that allow effective communication from a universal concept materialized in different ways depending on the context in which it is used. This concept provides and promotes common textual features of the organizational structure of a text such as anticipation of a context, selective reading in search of the author's intentions, limitations regarding the development of the topic and register of the text.
