DESCRIPTION
The course Chemical Kinetics focuses on the study of the rate of chemical transformation processes and the factors that can affect it, providing the theoretical and experimental foundation for such study. It offers both a phenomenological perspective and a treatment of the most basic foundations of the theories used for the interpretation and prediction of reaction rates. The types of kinetics to be studied include those of homogeneous reactions (both in the gas phase and in solution), heterogeneous, electrochemical, and photochemical reactions, including the phenomenon of catalysis.
