The unit introduces students to the basic theory of marketing and the marketing process and applies these in particular (through the coursework) to the market for attractions. Students study the principles of market and product development and key trends impacting on their development and promotion. Students will aim to understand and apply the drivers and nature of tourism, hospitality and leisure demand, evolution of Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure products, the theoretical basis underpinning these dynamics and the marketing process.
