DESCRIPTION

This module address the legal and regulatory principles underpinning the law relating to the events and entertainment industries. Using a case study approach to learning the basics of the legal context of the events and entertainment industries to course will include: the basic principles of UK and EU law; intellectual property rights; health and safety; contract and sub-contracting law; employment law; public liability and risk management, merchandising and branding law, technology and the law, enforcement. The module will contrast law in the UK / EU and USA exploring the reasons for commonalities and differences
