DESCRIPTION
Since markets are going global, it is relevant to understand the implications of such scenario on consumers, entrepreneurs and governments. It is the purpose of this course to cover these topics, both from a theoretical and empirical point of view.
Specifically, the course is divided in two blocks. The first one focuses in the analysis of different trade models and trade policy instruments and the behavior of the ?real economic variables?. The second one addresses topics related to international financial issues such as the foreign exchange market and the international financial architecture as well as the balance of payments and its relation with the FOREX market.
Please note: This course should not be taken together with International Finance.
