DESCRIPTION

This course focuses on prescriptive analytics, specifically the optimization of mathematical models to support decision-making and artificial intelligence. Students will learn to use simulation and optimization techniques to solve decision problems and understand when these techniques are applicable, their alternatives, and the pros and cons associated with each approach. Topics include linear programming, integer programming, network flows, heuristic methods, and optimization in artificial intelligence (AI) applications. The course emphasizes the development of practical skills for solving optimization problems using software tools.
