DESCRIPTION
This class will cover the progression and history of the 20th century and the project of European unity; the movement from European inter-country cooperation to the European community; the Group of Six; the stages, motivation and problems of the construction of the European Union. Some of the topics to be included are the following: the first half community expansion; the Maastricht treaty, and the debate over the meaning of European construction.
