DESCRIPTION
The objective of this course will be to determine the principle artistic and cultural manifestations produced in Islamic Spain. Students will consider Islam as a religion and a culture, and will study the different mediums and themes of Islamic art. The course will also examine the legacy of Islamic art in Christian Spain.
Practical and theoretical lectures will be complemented by excursions to various sites in Seville.
