Career Services Webinar Series Highlights

In today’s world, it’s more important than ever to secure a job upon graduation that is personally meaningful and aligns with students’ professional goals. International internships are uniquely positioned to support students in these efforts while also setting them apart from 99% of their peers. But navigating the maze of internship programs and providers to ensure students are engaging the program that best supports their personal, professional, and academic success can feel overwhelming. Join us as we aim to demystify the international internship process and find ways to drive connection between study abroad and career services to achieve institutional internationalization efforts.

Prepare Your Students for a World of Opportunity

Please feel free to register for any or all of our events below, and please share with any colleagues who you feel could benefit from learning about the international internship process.

Navigating the Maze of International Internships
Thursday, June 10, 10:00 am PST

Student demand for internships couldn’t be higher—and international internships are becoming a mainstay for career readiness programming. If internships abroad are a new concept for you, or if you’d like to get a better understanding of program options and working with international internship providers, this is the event for you. We’ll also do some myth busing about international internships and leave plenty of time for Q&A.

Paid, Unpaid, and Paying for Internships
Thursday, June 17, 10:00 am PST

The debate about whether interns should be paid or not is a hot topic in higher education, and rightly so. But when the internship is overseas, the issue of paid or unpaid (or even paying for an internship) can be something of a conundrum. Join us to learn more about the benefits of an international internship and the resources available to students who work with an in-country provider.

As a field, how can we work smarter, not harder, to graduate career-ready students? Collaboration between on-campus offices and international internship providers can lead to a more holistic student experience and measurable career readiness outcomes. Join us as we hear from our institutional partners in career services and study abroad who support students through the international internship process. You'll leave with creative ideas and resources you can tap into on your campus.
