We recognize each institution may have unique needs for their students, and we’re open to discussing how CEA can assist in creating student benefits that work for your institution. Program-specific grants and CEA application fee waivers are just two examples of how CEA can increase access to study abroad for your student body.
The following benefits are also a standard part of our affiliation agreement and customizable to the needs of your students:
To help students participate in CEA study and internship abroad experiences. We know that student financial needs vary across institutions and welcome the opportunity to establish these amounts and disbursement methods collaboratively.
CEA allocates scholarship money specifically to students enrolled at Affiliate Partners. Scholarship types and amounts may vary by term. For more information on scholarships, please visit our Scholarships Page.
We believe that ensuring the success of faculty-led programs is a joint effort between us and the university, requiring collaboration across academic departments, study abroad offices, and our organization. In order to bolster our Affiliate Partners’ faculty-led programming, we offer up to $1,500 toward one coach airline ticket for the first Custom Program developed jointly with CEA.
To help promote study abroad on your campus, CEA offers up to $500 annually in marketing materials to be jointly developed by the Affiliate Partner's study abroad office and CEA. We are willing to customize your annual marketing program, which may include broadcast and print advertising, e-marketing, print collateral, promotions, events, and customized websites.
Each year, our Affiliate Partners are encouraged to nominate individuals on their campus for the CEA Faculty & Staff tuition grant.
- Allows a faculty or professional staff member to attend a two- or four-week program at one of our CEA Study Centers
- Provides first-hand exposure to the student academic, social, and cultural experience onsite
- Expands participant’s global networks and familiarity with CEA staff and faculty
The Tuition Grant program is especially well-suited to faculty and staff with limited prior international experience. We ask the Affiliate institution to cover the cost of airfare, hotel accommodation, and incidentals.
We recognize the importance of connectivity in our field. To help facilitate collaboration with our university partners, both in the U.S. and abroad, we invite our Affiliate Partners to experience the academic and cultural opportunities available through our network by attending a Familiarization Trip or Site Visit with us. CEA schedules two Familiarization Trips each academic year; preference is given to Affiliate Partners in the nomination process. Site visits can be scheduled in collaboration with your Regional Director of University Relations.
