CEA Academic Affiliation promotes study abroad among
a greater demographic of students through:
Students at affiliate schools receive Travel Grants
- $500 per student, per year programs
- $250 per student, per semester or trimester
- $100 per student, per session, for short-term and summer programs
*CEA may prohibit the use of Travel Grants in conjunction
with Affiliate Volume Discounts, Custom Programs and/or other Non-Affiliate direct
CEA allocates scholarship money specifically to students
enrolled at Academic Affiliates. Scholarship types and amounts may vary by term.
Utilize CEA’s strong and robust networks to advance
your internationalization efforts. We invite our Academic Affiliates to experience
the academic and cultural opportunities available through our network. CEA schedules
two Familiarization Trips each academic year; preference is given to Academic Affiliates
in the nomination process.
CEA’s Faculty and Staff Tuition Grant program
represents an innovative professional development opportunity. Each year, we award
a grant to each Academic Affiliate, allowing a faculty or professional staff member
to attend a two- or four-week program at one of our CEA Study Centers. This opportunity
facilitates the university representative’s global expertise development while
providing familiarity with CEA staff, facilities, and academic programming. We encourage
our Academic Affiliates to nominate participants from all corners of campus, including
student affairs, financial aid, and the office of the registrar/bursar, as well
as academic units. The Tuition Grant program is especially well-suited to faculty
and staff with limited prior international experience. We ask the Affiliate institution
to cover the cost of airfare, hotel accommodation, and incidentals.
In order to support our Academic Affiliates’ international
initiatives, we offer up to $1,500 toward one coach airline ticket for the first
Custom Program developed jointly with CEA.
To help promote study abroad on your campus, CEA offers
up to $500 annually in marketing materials to be jointly developed by the Academic
Affiliate's study abroad office and CEA; materials must bear the CEA logo. We offer
marketing consultation and help identifying opportunities to increase awareness
of the value of international education on campus. We are available to collaborate
on a customized annual marketing program, which may include broadcast and print
advertising, e-marketing, print collateral, promotions, events, and customized websites.
