CEA CAPA is proud to announce our collaboration with Frontiers: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Study Abroad on two exciting initiatives that strengthen scholarship, collaboration, and community in our field. 

4th Annual Woolf Symposium at Forum 

First, we’re thrilled to share that Frontiers will join us as co-host of the 2026 Woolf Symposium. Since its launch in 2023, the Woolf Symposium has provided a vital space for colleagues to share, explore, and debate under-examined topics shaping our work. In 2026, this conversation will grow even bigger as we host the Symposium alongside The Forum on Education Abroad’s Annual Conference in Nashville, TN - creating an unparalleled opportunity for dialogue and innovation. 

We invite colleagues worldwide, across all levels of education and career stages, to submit proposals that critically engage with key concepts shaping our field, including: authenticity, community and belonging, decolonization, diversity, equity, and inclusion, globalization, immersion, reciprocity, sustainability, and transformation.

We’re also excited to announce that CEA CAPA is joining the Center for Research on Abroad and International Student Engagement (RAISE Center) at Wake Forest University as a sponsoring partner of Frontiers. This partnership reflects our shared dedication to advancing rigorous, ethical, and impactful scholarship in the field of international education. Frontiers has long set the standard for academic excellence and editorial independence, and together, we aim to broaden the journal’s reach and amplify its influence, while staying true to the values that have defined its work for decades.
