Favorite Places in Granada

During your time studying abroad, one of the best parts of living in a new city is exploring and finding your favorite spots. In this video, you’ll see three of my favorite spots in Granada.

The Cathedral

The façade of the Cathedral of Granada always looks stunning, and in the Royal Chapel next door you can see where Queen Isabel I of Castile, King Ferdinand, II of Aragon, their daughter Juana “la Loca”, and Philip I are buried.

Olympia Café and Pastry Shop

The locals flock here for homemade, incredibly delicious pastries almost too pretty to eat. I often frequent Olympia for a tostada and café con leche after early morning classes, and it’s always fun to stop by to see what beautiful desserts they’ve come up with recently.

Frederico García Lorca Park

Living in a city has its perks, but occasionally you just need to see some green; although not quite the same as actually getting out of the city, coming to García Lorca Park offers a chance to relax and regroup. I love to come here to run in the mornings or bring a book in the afternoon to read in the grass. (Pro-tip: Also a great place to see cute dogs.)
