Studying abroad in Galway, it's impossible not to smile when walking onto Shop Street or Quay Street when hearing a familiar voice performing "Wonderwall." Galway is a very welcoming city to street performers and it is not uncommon to see a group of people surrounding the musician and just listening. One of the performers featured in the video actually just moved here from Italy because she thought it would be a great place to start her music career. A few of my favorite venues featured in this video are Taaffes, The Quays, and Monroe's. Every Tuesday night, traditional Irish dancers perform at Monroe's and invite bystanders to join them, teaching them each step along the way. Taaffes and The Quays are just two of the many venues that hold live music performances every day of the week.
