You Should Prague-ably go Here

Prague is filled with so many hidden gems. From trendy cafes, beautiful parks, historic landmarks and everything in between, there is so much to do and see here. Picking my top places was extremely hard, but here are a few of my go to if you ever find yourself in the area!

Letná Park

Located in Prague 5, this park leads to AMAZING views of the city. A quick walk or tram ride up will take you up to Petrin hill where you can have a relaxing picnic or stroll among the greenery. There is an Eiffel Tower replica, rose gardens, various trails, and plenty of dogs to keep you occupied. I love walking around here with friends for some exercise and killer views.

The River

If the weather is right, renting paddle boats on the river is a MUST. For fifteen dollars an hour, you and three of your friends can float along the Vltava river. With views of the Charles Bridge and Prague 1, the paddle boats are the perfect afternoon outing.

Cafe Espresso

Prague is filled with trendy cafes and amazingly affordable coffee. Every cafe I have been to (dozens) has been incredible. However, my go to is a more modest cafe, conveniently located three doors down from my apartment. The baristas always chuckle as they greet me with a “hello” awaiting my typical soy vanilla latte request. It costs sixty-nine crowns which is equivalent to about three american dollars and it is heavenly. Its the perfect place to caffeinate before school or my internship!

Farmer's Market

Every Saturday there is a massive farmers market next to the river in Prague 1. Thousands of locals and tourists come to get their hands on fresh produce, yummy food, and various goods. I love going to farmers markets back in Santa Cruz so going here on the weekends is like a little taste of home.

Vzorkovna

Also known as the dog bar, this underground spot is filled with unconventional decor and live music. The bar is a maze of rooms with unique graffiti, a stage area, skateboard swings, seating on the wall, and a massive dog that roams around. It is hard to capture the essence of this bar in writing so you will just have to check it out!
