Where the Heart is -- Nostalgia for "home"

June 19, 2015
by CEA MOJO

In this project I wanted to splice together footage taken where I go to school in Orange, California, and clips from my time abroad in Paris to create the feelings of nostalgia, homesickness, and admiration that I feel for both places. I love every minute of being here in Paris, but there are moments, like flashes in the video, that feel like a distant memory of the home I will be returning to in a short amount of time. Making a home in a new and unfamiliar place provokes an array of emotions that I cannot grasp with words; I think this video helps.

Morgan Mein is the Spring 2015 CEA MOJO Photographer in Paris, France. She is currently a junior at Chapman University.
