By just stepping outside the University of Westminster Marylebone campus, we are greeted by Madame Tussauds and one on the longest queues in London. To the left, we have Baker Street tube station, but when you turn to the right and walk down Marylebone Road, we can make it to Regents Park. Littered with marvellous little secret gardens and football pitches, we will walk to Primrose Hill where we look to the south and see the entirety of the London skyline: The Shard, Gerkin, Cheese Grater and Walkie Talkie among others. Camden market is just down the road, so we shall stop for lunch at their market.

After we are finished with our lunch and shopping at the curious and colourful rock revival marketplace, we will take a little tube ride: Northern from Camden Town, transfer to Piccadilly at King’s Cross and get off at Covent Garden. Here we will discover the eclectic shops, then have a drink on the first floor terrace to watch the street performers from overhead. From here, we will walk south to Trafalgar Square and make a quick stop at the National Gallery to absorb the culture and history that London has to offer through Classical to Impressionist art eras.

| Walking around the lesser known areas offer plenty of opportunities |
We will take some pictures with the lions guarding Nelson’s Column and make our way to St. James Park, walk down the peaceful, green aisle to admire Buckingham Palace. Then up through Green Park, then around the Royal Academy of the Arts to Soho, pointing out all of the iconic spots where the Beatles played or owned or fought. Down the shopping area of Regent St. to Carnaby market are to find more iconic rock-n-roll era sights. It is getting pretty late by now, so we will start making our way back to Uni. North toward Oxford Street, we will make our way back to Regent Street, avoiding the hectic crowds of Oxford Circus as much as possible. Uni is only a few blocks from here, so it is up to you, we can go to either the best bar in Marylebone simply named The Marylebone or the best pub, the Gunmakers or take a nice stroll through the park and find yourself back at Uni.
