The sun rising over the Mediterranean on the French Riviera. |
I was nervous for my four months abroad, but I knew I was right where I wanted to be. Everything in southern France is more beautiful than imaginable. Soon, I started to fall in love - with the architecture, the Mediterranean, the people, the food, the art and the culture.

Don't forget to take pictures with your new friends abroad! |
I learned that there is so much more to living than the every day grind life. Studying abroad truly taught me how to stop and smell the roses.

There is fresh food everywhere in France! |
My advice? This is the experience that you're going to tell your grandchildren about - and you better be sure to live it up as much as you can. Wake up early for the sunrise. Take an overnight train. Book that last minute flight to a new country. Make friends in a different culture and learn a new language. And of course, don't forget to watch a sunset a time or two and become humbled by the beauty of the new world you're living in.
