CEA CAPA Contests
Guidelines for Photos, Video, & Social Media Submissions- Students must have participated on a CEA CAPA Education Abroad program within one calendar year prior to the contest submission deadline
- Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
- All participants must sign and acknowledge the CEA CAPA Release Form.
- Eligible students may participate in more than one contest in the same year
- All entries must represent the original work and content of the student
- Submissions must adhere to the rules and regulations of the individual contest
- content containing nudity, drinking, swearing, illegal or dangerous behavior may NOT be used
- Entrants must obtain proper permission from subjects
- Material should align with CEA CAPA and your home institution Code of Conduct
- Ability to follow the contest theme
- Adherence to the submission guidelines for eligibility, content, and technical specifications

We have some fantastic prizes in store for our winners, including swag bags and gift cards. In addition to the prizes, these contests are an excellent opportunity to gain recognition for your talent. Your work will be showcased to a wide audience, giving you exposure and a chance to connect with fellow creatives.

- Participants must ensure that their entries comply with applicable laws, respect the rights of individuals, and do not contain any offensive or inappropriate content.
- CEA CAPA reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate or in violation of the rules.
- By participating in any CEA CAPA Contest, participants agree to comply with all the rules and decisions made by CEA CAPA.

Video Contest
International Education WeekLights, camera, action! You’ve had an amazing experience abroad – now it's time to share it. If you have a passion for storytelling through video, this contest is tailor-made for you. Unleash your creativity, grab your camera, and create a captivating video that showcases your unique perspective on studying or interning abroad with CEA CAPA. From short films to creative narratives, we welcome all forms of video entries.
- One grand prize winner of a $150 gift card via Giftogram
- Four category winners of a $50 gift card per category via Giftogram
- All winners will also be announced on the CEA CAPA Instagram account after the selection date.

Short Form – Give us a glimpse of your time abroad. Videos in this category are 1 minute or less.

Evaluation Criteria: The submission must be well-produced and edited. The images, font, and music selection should have a unified theme and follow contest rules. Following the prompts, the video will use still images, narration, video, texts and music to convey a clear and concise story. An exceptional video will combine all elements to evoke emotion in the viewer. Video resolution must be at least 1080p. The video dimensions should be 1080 x 1920 and aspect ratio should be that of a standard smartphone screen (9:16).

- All submissions will become the property of CEA CAPA and may be featured on the website or in marketing materials.
- The video cannot violate privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights.
- The video cannot include any inappropriate behavior, unlawful activity, drinking, nudity, or explicit language.
- All music must be used legally. You can create your own music, get written permission from the artist, or sample free music from any of these websites:

- The judging panel will evaluate submissions based on creativity, relevance to the theme, composition, and overall visual impact.
- The decision of the judges is final and binding.
- Winners will be notified through the contact information provided during submission and shared on the @ceacapaabroad Instagram & TikTok account.
- The deadline for video submissions is Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Winners will be announced during International Education Week, Monday, November 13, 2023 through Friday, November 17, 2023

- Sign and submit a copy of the CEA CAPA Copyright Permission Form and the CEA CAPA Release Form

- Get an illustrious image that provides a glimpse into your study abroad surroundings.
- Global Classroom
- Snap a captivating photo that illustrates a learning experience you had while abroad. In your description, consider how your perspective has changed as a result of this experience.

- Capture a fun photo of you and/or your fellow CEA CAPA students in your abroad destination.
- Each participant can submit up to three (3) photos for consideration.
- Photos must be original and taken by the participant during their abroad program.
- Digital photos in JPEG or PNG format are accepted.
- Photos taken on an iPhone will most likely appear as HEIC format.
- The maximum file size for each photo should not exceed 10MB.
- Include a brief description or caption for each photo, highlighting the location, term, and significance.

Social Media Contest
SummerAre you an Instagram innovator or TIkTok trendsetter? This contest is perfect for you! Show off your photography and videography skills, capture stunning moments, and express your unique perspective through captivating content. Share your entries on Instagram or TikTok by tagging @ceacapaabroad and using #CEACAPAcontest, and get a chance to win prizes. Don't miss out on this chance to become an social media sensation!
Each Friday during the summer, we will be selecting a weekly winner for the best Instagram photo or TikTok video. Weekly winners will receive a customized swag bag and be entered to win the grand prize $100 gift card of your choice.
