About the Program
Engage in a virtual semester, allowing international perspectives and global contexts to converge at your own desk. With weekly lessons, CEA’s faculty will use various formats to present relevant material, and teach and offer case studies to enrich your learning experience. The Liberal Arts & Social Sciences curriculum gives you access to international content and expertise not typically accessible on your home campus. Courses represent a variety of disciplines (Art History, Communication, Cultural Studies, Psychology, Philosophy, and Sociology) and offer the possibility to learn about and from cultures in Argentina, France, Ireland, Italy and Spain. With unique features that create opportunities for cultural engagement, CEA’s virtual study environment will set you up for success in the global, online world that awaits you upon graduation.

Program Structure
EARLY-START
Tailor the Virtual Early-Start Fall Semester to your own academic needs!
Your first chosen course is worth 3-4 credits, taught over 4 weeks. Your remaining courses are worth 3 credits each, and taught over 12 weeks: choose to enroll in 2, 3 or 4, or 5 courses. Depending on the number of courses chosen, you can earn from 6 to 16 semester credits in 16 weeks of instruction.
All courses will be taught in English using an online Learning Management System. You are expected to be an active participant in online forums, in addition to completing your regular readings, videos and homework. The online structure enables you to learn at your own pace during the allocated time, allowing you to absorb new content and work on your projects and assignments at your own rhythm.
Upon enrollment in the program, you will select your preferred courses. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability, therefore we recommend you have alternative courses approved by your home university should your first choice courses not meet enrollment minimums. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
