Program Structure & Courses

Enroll in 3 UTDT courses from the catalog of course options available to you. Courses meet for 68 contact hours/4.5 credits. Please note, some courses may have a lower course load; students should look for courses with 68 contact hours to ensure they maintain full-time status.  If you choose the Early Start semester option, you’ll enroll in an additional language course prior to the start of the semester that meets for 68 contact hours/4.5 credits. You may earn 13.5 credits (204 contact hours); if you choose the Early Start option, you may earn 18 credits (up to 270 contact hours).

Classes meet for 3 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled for Fridays.

We’ll assess your Spanish language level before your program begins to ensure that you're in the right program for you. Final course registration takes place on-site. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability. It is in your best interest to have multiple alternative courses approved by your home university prior to your departure due to course availabilities. To ensure that you receive credit for your coursework, have your home school pre-approve courses at several levels before you leave for Argentina. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
