Take a deep dive into Tourism and Hospitality topics in a city considered one of the world’s leading tourism and cultural centers. Choose Tourism Studies and Hospitality Management courses at our partner institution, CETT - University
of Barcelona (CETT-UB), and round out your experience with electives and core courses in the Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at the CEA CAPA Barcelona Center. You also have the option to add a professional internship with a tourism or hospitality-focused
placement.
CETT – University of Barcelona (CETT-UB) is an affiliated center of the University of Barcelona, dedicated to the education, research, and knowledge transfer in the fields of tourism, hospitality and gastronomy. Classes are taught by internationally experienced faculty with extensive experience in the industry.
When you study abroad in Barcelona, you can choose CEA CAPA housing or arrange your own independent housing. CEA CAPA housing assignments are based on availability and confirmation date; we make every effort to match your housing requests, but we can’t guarantee housing preferences.
Program Structure
You will select one primary program track and take two pre-determined classes within the selected track. Classes meet for 45 contact hours/3 credits. You may earn a total of 6 credits (up to 90 contact hours) during the course of the program.
Classes meet Monday – Friday during week one, and Monday – Thursday during weeks two, three and four. Active learning components required by courses may be scheduled any day of the week.
Prior to departure,
you will indicate your preferred thematic program track and two alternate program tracks. You will be enrolled into tracks based on their availability. You will enroll in both courses offered within the program track. It is in your best interest to
have multiple tracks approved by your home university prior to departure. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
