Ranked among France’s top 20 undergraduate business schools, Novancia Business School - Paris is internationally accredited and one of the eleven prestigious “Grandes Ecoles” in France. Novancia’s history began in 1863 with the creation of the ECCIP, a school specializing in the field of entrepreneurship. Today, Novancia is operated by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a member of the CGE (Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, an association of 200 elite institutions of higher education under the highest standards of academic excellence,) and a member of EFMD, the European Foundation for Management Development. Novancia maintains membership with the AACSB.
The university has a permanent team of 95 faculty members, including 40 research professors, and a student population of about 2,000 a year. The school offers degrees in Entrepreneurship, Commerce, and International Business. You’ll attend class with degree-bound students in undergraduate departments. Eligible students may also enroll in advanced placement graduate seminars in the school’s graduate program. The Novancia campus is located in Paris’ Montparnasse district, a 20-25 minute commute from the CEA Study Center. You can easily commute between the two schools using public transportation.
Accreditation
The Novancia Business School - Paris is recognized by the French National Ministry of Education and is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, as well as the European Foundation for Management Development.
Grading
The French grading system is based on a scale of 20, as opposed to 100 in the U.S. system. It would be inaccurate to merely multiply a French grade by a factor of five to find its U.S. equivalent. Grades in France are awarded on a scale of 1-20, but the tradition is such that grades higher than 16 are seldom awarded. The passing grade for a single subject is usually 10/20, although grades of 8 and 9 may indicate satisfactory performance. Grading in France is severe and can vary from one institution to another, and from one course to another.

Students and faculty represent a variety of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
CEA students attend core curriculum and/or elective courses with undergraduate Novancia students.

Class attendance is mandatory and monitored by each professor.
Most courses enroll between 20 and 30 students, with a few lecture hall seminars enrolling up to 70 students.

Grading

Health and safety are a top priority when selecting and reviewing program housing. When evaluating housing, CEA CAPA considers several factors including the surrounding location, commute time to academic or internship settings, as well as the condition of the building exterior and interior, common areas, the individual housing unit, and other living spaces. CEA CAPA works to ensure that program housing meets established minimum health and safety guidelines and aligns with best practices in the field.
