About the Program
Build your international business acumen at the renowned Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM). This prestigious business school boasts the rare distinction of triple accreditation—EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA—and attracts students from around the world. In this program, designed for students who wish to study business within a global environment, you'll gain hands-on experience through group projects that boost your career opportunities and provide you with real-world context for lessons learned in class. In fall semester, take courses that provide a solid foundation in international business practices and concepts. In spring semester, take pre-determined courses based on your choice of a track, such as marketing, finance, or management. Courses are taught in English. Students who successfully complete the program will earn a Certificate (semester) or Diploma (academic year) in International Business.

Program Structure
In the fall semester, you'll enroll in 1 French language class and 7 foundational business courses. In the spring semester, you'll enroll in 1 French language class, 1 culture course and 5 business courses within the selected track. If you're already a fluent French speaker, you may choose another language class, such as Spanish, German, or Chinese.
Each track, offered in the spring semester, has prerequisites:
- Global Management Track - Corporate Finance
- Marketing and Advertising Track - Principles of Marketing and International Marketing
- Finance and Accounting Track - Corporate Finance and Financial Accounting
- Fashion and Design Track - Principles of Marketing and International Marketing
- Entrepreneurship Track - Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurship
Classes meet for 15-30 contact hours/1.25-2.5 credits. You may earn a total of 15 credits (up to 180 contact hours) per semester.
Language and business courses meet daily, Monday-Friday. Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled for Fridays.
You'll take a language placement exam after you arrive in Grenoble and be enrolled in a language course based on the results. You'll be automatically enrolled in business courses. To ensure that you receive credit for the language level you place into, have your home university pre-approve courses at several levels before you leave for France. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines

Excursions
Get out and explore! Excursions are offered for most semester, year, and summer programs*. Semester students are typically offered between two to three excursions and summer study students are typically offered between one to two excursions. You'll receive a calendar of excursions during orientation; here are a few day and overnight excursions we've offered in the past.
