Studying abroad in Dublin with CEA CAPA offers you an unparalleled study abroad experience in the vibrant heart of Ireland’s capital, voted Europe’s friendliest cities. The CEA CAPA Dublin Center is located on the Dublin campus of Champlain College.
Located in central Dublin, the Center is easily walkable from Iveagh Gardens, Stephen’s Green Park, and the Grand Canal, where you will be surrounded by lush foliage and iconic Dublin landmarks, creating the perfect blend of city energy and serene greenery. Whether exploring Dublin Castle or taking a weekend trip to the scenic landscapes of Inis Mor, you will be immersed in Ireland's rich history and breathtaking beauty at every turn.
The Dublin Center creates a personalized learning environment with small class sizes and dedicated faculty. With tailored academic support, cultural excursions, and curated activities, CEA CAPA’s Dublin Center offers a great jumping off point to step beyond the classroom and immerse yourself in everything that Dublin has to offer. You’ll develop a deeper understanding of Ireland’s rich culture, history, and global significance, all while building skills that will prepare you for success beyond your journey abroad.
Courses at the CEA CAPA Dublin Center are transcripted by the University of New Haven (UNH), CEA CAPA’s School of Record.
Courses taught at the CEA CAPA Dublin Center have been designed in conjunction with, and approved by, the University of New Haven (UNH). In addition, faculty appointments have been approved by UNH. After the successful completion of a session at the CEA CAPA Dublin Center, you will receive credit for your work from UNH. Located in Connecticut, the University of New Haven is a student-focused, comprehensive university that’s fully accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). The agreement between CEA CAPA and UNH follows the highest standards of good practice in education abroad and satisfies the rigorous requirements of the University's institutional accreditor, making credits earned at the CEA CAPA Dublin Center easily transferable to US-accredited institutions. Summer
All CEA CAPA students studying in Dublin have the option of living in apartments while abroad. Generally located within a 50-minute commute from the CEA CAPA Dublin Center, these apartments cater to the independent, do-it-yourself type students who want to experience Dublin just as the locals do. Cook tasty meals with your roommates in your kitchen, explore the personality of the neighborhood that surrounds you and make your new apartment a home. Please note, there's limited availability for single and shared bedrooms.
Enjoy living within walking distance from the CEA CAPA Centre in a contained but super modern Aparthotel twin room which also has a kitchenette and shared bathroom. The Aparthotel has 24/7 reception, a lounge, bar, gym and a launderette.

Located just a stone’s throw from energetic pubs and tasty restaurants, this housing option embraces the bustling Dublin city center and typically houses European and North American students. If you enjoy living in the city with fellow students, this housing option is a great fit for you.

Immerse into Irish student life when you live in a Dublin Student Residence. Student Residences typically house Irish, international, and North American students. If you enjoy living in a student community and want to make friends from all over the world, this housing option is a great fit for you.
DCU Student Residences are only available to students in Dublin City University programs. Students studying at Dublin City University will select their housing through the DCU portal. Please note, some DCU housing options may carry a supplemental fee. Contact your Student Advisor for details.

Located in the Griffith College Campus, in a residential yet vibrant neighborhood, full of pubs and tasty restaurants, Student Residences embrace the bustling city center and typically house Irish, international, and American students. If you enjoy living in a student community and want to make friends from all over the world, this housing option is a great fit for you.
Griffith College Student Residences are only available to students in Griffith College Direct Enroll programs.

Located on the fringes of Dublin in Ireland’s only university town, Maynooth University is part of the National University of Ireland. Immerse into Irish student life when you live in a Student Residence 25 miles outside of Dublin. If you enjoy living in a student community and want to make friends from all over the world, this housing option is a great fit for you. This housing option is only available for students enrolled at Maynooth University.
This housing option carries a supplemental fee which may vary based on housing inclusions (i.e. meals, amenities, etc.) as well as program length. Exact amount will be confirmed on the housing application form.

Semester
Immerse into Irish student life when you live in a UCD Student Residence. Located within easy access to all campus restaurants, coffee shops, bookshop, convenience store, libraries, student clubs, health centre, travel centre, bank and post office, Student Residences are located on the main UCD campus and typically house Irish, international, and North American students. If you enjoy living in a student community and want to make friends from all over the world, this housing option is a great fit for you.
UCD Student Residences are only available to students in University College Dublin programs. Please note, some UCD housing options may carry a supplemental fee. Contact your Student Advisor for details.
While CEA CAPA highly recommends that you choose one of our Dublin housing options provided, you also have the option to arrange independent housing. If your ideal housing scenario includes living in a particular neighborhood, having specific amenities or living with a specific person as your roommate, then independent housing could be just the ticket for you.
Use the online housing application form to request permission for this option no later than the application closure date. If your request is approved, you will receive a rebate for your housing payment, however CEA CAPA will not provide you with any assistance setting up independent housing. Keep in mind, rebates are not granted to students who move out of their CEA CAPA housing or choose to pursue independent living arrangements after the application closure date.
Get out and explore! Excursions are offered for most semester, year, and summer programs. Semester students are typically offered between two to three excursions and summer study students are typically offered between one to two excursions. You'll receive a calendar of excursions during orientation; here are a few day and overnight excursions we've offered in the past.
From housing to excursions, our programs include a variety of inclusions to enhance your study abroad experience! Here are examples that may be available in Dublin. Inclusions vary by program – please contact our Enrollment and Advising team to find out what options are available for you.
