For students with a focus on media and communication studies, this program is for you! CEA CAPA has partnered with EUSA University Center, an institution specialized in the field of communication, to offer a wide variety of courses in the fields of communication, media studies, and tourism management, as well as a range of electives in subjects like business, journalism, culture, and more. Courses are taught in English or Spanish; no Spanish language experience is necessary. Taking courses at the CEA CAPA Seville Center and our partner, EUSA University Center, allow you the flexibility to tailor your learning experience. Those attending EUSA are integrated into regular classes with local Spanish and other international students.

Courses offered in both Spanish and English, allow you to pursue several disciplines including history, sociology, art, business, and more. Courses taught at the CEA CAPA Seville Center have been designed in conjunction with, and approved by, the University of New Haven (UNH). In addition, faculty appointments have been approved by UNH. After the successful completion of a session at the CEA CAPA Seville Center, you will receive credit for your work from UNH. Located in Connecticut, the University of New Haven is a student-focused, comprehensive university that’s fully accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). The agreement between CEA CAPA and UNH follows the highest standards of good practice in education abroad and satisfies the rigorous requirements of the University's institutional accreditor, making credits earned at the CEA CAPA Seville Center easily transferable to US-accredited institutions. Grading
Professors at the CEA CAPA Seville Center will carefully evaluate your work and progress throughout their academic session. When calculating the final grade, instructors consider written and oral exercises, homework assignments, attendance, classroom participation, and exam performance.

Classroom and Information
- Classes are taught by international faculty selected by CEA CAPA and approved by UNH.
- Most faculty are bilingual (Spanish/English) and represent diverse backgrounds.
- Periodic exams, homework assignments, and final exams will be administered.
- Attendance in all classes is mandatory and monitored by each professor.
- You’ll attend class with other CEA CAPA students, not with native Spanish students.

- The maximum class size for language courses is 15 students and 25 students for elective courses. These small class sizes mean personalized attention from instructors.

EUSA University Center
EUSA University Center is a Spanish private university located in the heart of Seville. Academically accredited by the University of Seville, EUSA has catered to the learning needs of over 55,000 national and international students since 1961. Each year, about 10-15% of the student body is made up of international students. This exceptional academic environment is directly linked to the world of tourism, media and communication, promoting innovation and creativity, and adding value to present-day society.
The EUSA campus is one of Sevilla’s most modern educational settings, featuring audio-visual production equipment, comprehensive technology, and new facilities. It fosters intercultural exchange and cooperation among both international and Spanish students completing undergraduate, graduate, and vocational studies. Academic offerings for visiting students are wide and diverse.
Study abroad offerings include over 30 different subject areas English, ranging from media studies, business, journalism, and human resources to tourism. You’ll attend class with other international students and perhaps some Spanish students. Courses are developed and taught by professors from both EUSA and the University of Seville.
Credit Transfer Information
EUSA University Center awards credits based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) system. CEA CAPA credit hour recommendations are based on the following conversion: 2 ECTS credits equals 1 U.S. semester credit. Credit transfer is ultimately determined by your home university. Please consult with an academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.

Students receive a transcript from EUSA University Center upon successful completion of the program. The transcript reflects ECTS credits.
Accreditation
EUSA is a private university center, affiliated with the University of Seville and owned by the Chamber of Commerce in Seville. Its degrees are accredited by the Ministry of Education and adapted to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) standards. EUSA is also recognized and verified by the Spanish Ministry of Education as a degree-granting institution of higher learning.
Grading
Grade conversions from CEA CAPA partner institutions abroad to a US grading scale are determined in consultation with our School of Record and benchmarked with other peer institutions in the field.

You'll enroll in 1 core course and 1-3 courses at the CEA CAPA Seville Center, and 1-2 courses at our partner, the EUSA University Center. CEA CAPA courses meet for 45 contact hours/3 credits. EUSA courses meet for 45-60 contact hours/3 credits. You may earn up to 15 credits (up to 225 contact hours).
CEA CAPA classes meet for 3 hours per week on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday; this schedule may vary at EUSA. Required field trips and site visits may be scheduled for Fridays.
Prior to departure, you will select your preferred courses and take a language placement exam. Your final language level may be adjusted on-site. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability. It is in your best interest to have multiple alternative courses approved by your home university prior to your departure due to course availabilities. If you choose to take a Spanish language or elective course, to ensure that you receive credit for the language level you place into, have your home university pre-approve courses at several levels before you leave for Spain. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.

Your housing abroad is more than a place to sleep, it's a place to feel at home.
Health & Safety
Health and safety are a top priority when selecting and reviewing program housing. When evaluating housing, CEA CAPA considers several factors including the surrounding location, commute time to academic or internship settings, as well as the condition of the building exterior and interior, common areas, the individual housing unit, and other living spaces. CEA CAPA works to ensure that program housing meets established minimum health and safety guidelines and aligns with best practices in the field.

Regular cleaning of communal areas for programs longer than 4 weeks.

Reliable internet access is included in every housing option we offer.
Students Per Bedroom
Typically 1–2 students per bedroom, with a maximum of 3 per room.

The Seville Signature - Casa de Sevilla
Discover a truly unique experience in Seville with Casa de Sevilla, where apartment living harmonizes with authentic homestay. Excursions
Get out and explore! Excursions are offered for most semester, year, and summer programs. Semester students are typically offered between two to three excursions and summer study students are typically offered between one to two excursions. You'll receive a calendar of excursions during orientation; here are a few day and overnight excursions we've offered in the past.

This budget contains costs that you can take to your financial aid office. Please note that amounts may fluctuate; we've included a range of costs.
Federal law allows the use of financial aid to cover "reasonable" costs of study abroad including round-trip transportation, tuition and fees for the program, living costs, passport and visa fees, health insurance, and more.
