Business & Technology - OLD

London, England
Business & Technology - OLD

About the Program

You’ll find coursework available in business, marketing, and management at the CEA London Center, and have the option of choosing from a range of business and technology courses at our partner, London South Bank University (LSBU), where you'll attend class alongside British students. Home to more than half of the UK’s top 100 listed companies, and considered one of the world's pre-eminent financial centers, London is the perfect city in which to study business. And if you're interested in technology, you'll find London equally fascinating; a growing number of technology companies are based in London, and in 2014 the city was among the first to receive a geoTLD.

Program Structure & Courses

Choose to take courses at both the CEA London Center and LSBU, or take all of your courses at the CEA London Center. By selecting our CEA & LSBU hybrid program, you choose to take courses at both institutions. You’ll enroll in 2-4 CEA elective courses and 1-2 LSBU elective courses. By selecting our CEA London Center-only program you choose to take courses exclusively at the CEA London Center. You’ll enroll in 4-5 CEA elective courses.

CEA courses meet for 45 contact hours/3 credits. LSBU courses are worth 4 credits. You'll earn 12-16 credits (up to 240 contact hours).

CEA courses may meet 1-2 days per week. LSBU courses typically meet once a week. Classes at both locations are typically held Monday - Friday.  Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled outside of your normal class time throughout the week.

Prior to departure you will select your preferred courses. You will be enrolled in courses based on their availability. Partner institution (LSBU) course lists and schedules are not finalized until you’re in London. As such, final course registration takes place on-site. It is critical to understand course availability is subject to change and courses are not guaranteed.  It is in your best interest to get several course alternates approved by your home university prior to your departure date. This will give you flexibility during registration. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
