Second Foreign Language Communication in Tourism Tourism & Hospitality Management Program Fall 2021 Semester Plus Internship - Barcelona

Knowledge of more than one language is a valuable asset in all aspects of today's society, and within the tourism sector it gives an edge to anyone wanting to work in an international context. From the competitiveness point of view, multilingualism is becoming more and more necessary to ensure employability to the future Tourism graduates. The main objective of this subject is to introduce students into the use French at a basic level and enable them to communicate with French-speaking interlocutors in the most elemental and usual professional situations; both in writing and speaking. Students will learn how to deal with everyday situations requiring immediate response and which entail understanding and production of both short written and oral texts using basic expressions and structures as well as the most common professional terminology.
