DESCRIPTION
Statistical analysis of social sciences and economic/business problems with emphasis on statistical inference. Rigorous treatment of probability theory and probability and sampling distributions. Estimation and hypothesis testing of (population) parameters are emphasized. The goal of the course is to give students an understanding of the key ideas of statistical theory. Students will use the theory to explore a variety of useful applications in economics and business, as well as in social or physical sciences.
