The course provides an introduction to principles of economics and the explanation of principles of microeconomics: analysis of the allocation of scarce resources, the economics of the firm, markets and the price system. This course is intended as an introduction to basic microeconomic concepts including trade, production, consumer behavior, producer behavior and government regulation.
