DESCRIPTION
The aims of this module are twofold. First, to enable you to acquire the confidence to select, develop and analyse a number of discrete mathematical models to solve a variety of problems relating to Computing. The emphasis will be on problem-solving and analysis although the need for rigour will be stressed. Second, for you to develop an understanding of a number of basic material and statistical concepts and models.
