DESCRIPTION
The current course offers a general overview of psychological science and its applicability to different academic and professional fields. No previous knowledge of psychology is necessary. After this course, students will be able to distinguish between the different cognitive functions and analyse the psychological processes involved in how people experience and think about the world. The content has been designed not only to provide enrolled students with a basis in psychology but also to put theory into practice in relation to specific topics. For this purpose, the program has been structured into general and specific contents. Students will be able to flexibly choose to delve into any of the specific contents or their choice depending on their interests. They will have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge to real-life-like situations in practical cases or through the development of integrated collaborative projects to ensure meaningful learning. Active learning will be encouraged by means of participative and active strategies.
