DESCRIPTION

This course introduces students to foundational statistical concepts and techniques used in the health and social sciences. Students explore a variety of statistical tools, including descriptive statistics, probability, normal distributions, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, correlation, and regression. Real-world examples drawn from public health, epidemiology, and clinical research are used to help students build practical analytical skills.

Throughout the course, students will gain hands-on experience using statistical software packages and programming languages commonly used, such as R. They will also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills by working on practical assignments and projects that require data analysis and interpretation.
