DESCRIPTION

This course examines the structure of Spain?s food and gourmet industries and the marketing and communication strategies used within this sector. Students analyze how historical, cultural, economic, and regional factors shape food production and distribution in Spain, with particular attention to Catalonia. The course introduces principles of integrated marketing communications, including branding, advertising, public relations, and digital media, and evaluates how these tools are applied by Spanish food companies. Through case studies, students assess how gourmet products are positioned in domestic and international markets and how cultural identity and storytelling support global brand development within the food industry.
