This course introduces the students to Islam and Islamic civilization from the time of the Prophet Muhammad until nowadays (7th-21st centuries). Among the topics to be studied are: religion, history, theology, philosophy, law, literature, science, art & culture, family & society, Islam in the Modern world, Jihad, Islamism in the post-9/11 era, and radicalization.
