DESCRIPTION

This course provides students with an overview of the differing types of traditional Italian materials that are employed in both historical and contemporary applications. The course aims to introduce contemporary materials and furnishings through onsite visitations to manufacturers and showrooms with a goal to create connections for future use in professional applications. Students will also visit historic sites to observe how materials have been used historically. Students will develop a reference notebook for use in their professional careers.
