Alternative techniques which students may wish to incorporate in their printworks include but are not limited to: transfers, chine colle, collage, pochoir, stamping, stenciling, pressure printing, embossing, collagraph, xerox lithography, trace monotypes and experimental letterpress. Projects will be based on conceptual prompts and will be structured to allow for creative adaptation of the print medium both in terms of technique and product. Assignments will range from installation pieces to contemporary bookworks, taking printmaking beyond its traditional formats. This course is geared to both beginning and experienced printmakers.
